Mantle Restaked ETH is for users already inside the Ethereum staking and restaking world, where the point is to make one staked asset work harder inside a broader DeFi stack. By our assessment, its attraction is capital efficiency: it tries to put ETH to work in more than one place at once. The downside is that restaking adds another layer of dependency, with extra smart-contract and protocol risk on top of the normal staking picture.
