MAI (Fantom) is another network-tied crypto token, and its appeal is mostly for people who already move inside the Fantom ecosystem and know why they want an extra asset there. By our assessment, the advantage is the same one many chain-specific tokens have: they plug into an existing environment and make sense inside it. The trade-off is that they rarely stand alone very well, so outside that circle the purpose can feel narrow. In practice this kind of token asks for context, because its value and use depend on the surrounding network rather than on a broad everyday role. MAI (Fantom) is not trying to be a universal coin, and it should be judged on that smaller, more local job.
