Ionic Protocol suggests infrastructure rather than a consumer coin, so the natural audience is people who already move through crypto apps, pools, or on-chain tools. By our assessment, that kind of protocol usually matters because it coordinates actions in the background, not because it gives a neat story to casual readers. The upside is that protocols can be more functional than flashy tokens, with the logic built into the system rather than the logo. The downside is also familiar: once a protocol depends on technical trust, smart-contract risk, liquidity, and a crowd that understands what it is doing, it gets much less friendly to outsiders. In practice, Ionic Protocol sits in the part of crypto where detail matters and shortcuts do not help. It is closer to a piece of plumbing than to a simple coin, and that is exactly why it can be harder to read.
