Hyperlane Bridged SOL (Eclipse) is not a fresh standalone coin so much as a wrapped or bridged representation of SOL for use on another chain. By our assessment, it belongs to the cryptocurrency category, but its real job is narrow: move SOL liquidity into the Eclipse environment without pretending it is the same thing as native SOL itself. That makes it useful for users already working inside that setup, especially when they need the asset to travel across network boundaries. The downside is the usual bridge risk and the extra trust in the wrapping arrangement, which is never as clean as holding the base asset directly. In practice this is a plumbing token, not a general-purpose coin, and that is exactly where it is strongest.
