Hermes OS is a cryptocurrency that lives or dies by whether anyone actually uses it for payments, transfers, or some narrower network role. By our assessment, it is hard to say much more from the name alone, and that is already part of the problem with coins like this: the pitch can sound grand while the use case stays thin. In practice, tokens with an operating-system label usually lean on branding, community, and speculation more than on everyday utility. The upside is that such projects can be simple to explain inside their own ecosystem; the downside is that outside that circle they often blur into the mass of forgettable altcoins. Hermes OS sits well below the established names in credibility and recognisable purpose. It leaves you with the same question most small coins do: what, exactly, does it do that another token cannot?
