Gem DEX belongs to the exchange-token side of crypto, where the pitch is usually tied to trading, liquidity, or governance around a decentralized exchange. By our assessment, that can be useful when a project actually has real users and real volume, because the token has a place inside the platform instead of floating as decoration. The limit is that DEX tokens often inherit the risks of the exchange they are attached to, and their value can be thin if activity is thin.
