Graphite

Graphite is a cryptocurrency, so its real purpose is the same old one: moving value on-chain without a bank in the middle. By our assessment, that makes it a narrow tool rather than a full financial product, and the name by itself tells almost nothing about what sets it apart. The upside of that kind of coin is clear enough: transfers are public, native to the network, and usually easy to explain in one sentence. The downside is just as clear: unless the project has a strong reason to exist, it risks being one more token with a thin story and a lot of reliance on speculation. In practice, these assets live or die on liquidity, community trust, and whether anyone actually uses them for anything beyond trading. Graphite sits in a crowded field where most alternatives promise the same thing in slightly different packaging, so it does not get the benefit of the doubt just from the name.
