GMT

GMT carries the look of a crypto ticker that can stand for several different things, and that is part of the problem: the name alone does not explain the use. In practice, GMT as a cryptocurrency has to be judged by the project around it rather than by any obvious everyday function, because there is no built-in clue here that makes it a natural payment coin. By our assessment, that makes it a fairly narrow asset, the kind people meet inside a specific platform or ecosystem instead of reaching for on its own. Its strength, when it has one, is usually closeness to a product and a clear role inside that product. The downside is the opposite: without that surrounding context, it is hard to see as more than another token in a crowded field. GMT is a token first and a general-purpose currency never really second.
