Eigenpie rETH is the kind of token people reach for when they want a liquid-staking representation of ETH rather than the base asset itself. By our assessment, its strength is the obvious one: it keeps staking exposure tradable and easier to move around in DeFi. The trade-off is less obvious only to newcomers, because the token’s value depends on the underlying staking setup and the contracts that hold it together. In use, that means a holder gets flexibility, but also a stack of protocol assumptions that never quite disappears. It belongs to the same family as other ETH staking derivatives and makes sense mostly to users who already live with that family.
