Eigenpie oETH fits the family of wrapped ETH derivatives that exist for people who want staking exposure with more mobility than plain ETH gives. By our assessment, the good part is the familiar one: it can behave like a tradable piece of a staked position, which is what liquid-staking users are after. The downside is that these tokens are only as straightforward as the protocols behind them, and that is never very straightforward. In practice they live in the hands of DeFi users who already know why a wrapped claim is worth more than a simple coin.
