Crypto.com Staked ETH is an ether product for people who want exposure to Ethereum while their ETH is staked in a platform-managed form. By our assessment, the useful part is the idea of turning staking into something more tradeable than locked coins, which is why this sort of token exists at all. The limit is obvious: it depends on the platform, on Ethereum’s staking rules, and on the usual crypto risks around price movement and liquidity. In practice it feels like a claim on a staked position rather than a simple coin you spend, so it asks for more attention than ordinary money and less certainty than plain ETH in a wallet.
