CRUDE sounds blunt, and that bluntness is probably the whole point of the brand. By our assessment, it is just another cryptocurrency in the sense that many tokens live off a sharp name and little else, which puts it in a very crowded corner of the market. The good part is immediate recognisability; the bad part is that recognisability is not the same as a working use case. In practice a coin like this is judged by community heat, trading interest, and the usual crypto swings rather than by anything people can easily point to as infrastructure. CRUDE does not look like a stable payment tool, and it does not carry the sober profile of a major reserve asset. It is the sort of token that makes sense only inside the faster, noisier side of crypto.
