cCOMP

cCOMP is the wrapped, cToken-style version of COMP that exists for DeFi use rather than for anyone who wants a plain standalone asset. By our assessment, its appeal is narrow but real: it fits lending and collateral mechanics where the token has to represent a claim or a position inside a protocol. The trade-off is the usual one for this family of assets: extra protocol logic, extra moving parts, and less of the simple directness people expect from the underlying coin. In practice it is one more layer to keep track of, and that makes it feel more like a tool inside a system than a token for casual holding.
