Bridged WBTC

Bridged WBTC is the wrapped-bitcoin form people use when they want bitcoin exposure inside another chain, not on Bitcoin itself. By our assessment, its real strength is portability: it lets bitcoin-like value move through DeFi systems that cannot work with native BTC. The limit is the wrapper itself, since a bridged asset adds trust in the bridge and another place where the user has to watch which chain and token standard are in play. In practice it feels less like owning plain bitcoin and more like carrying a representation of it through middleware. Compared with native BTC, it is more flexible in smart-contract settings and less clean as a base asset. That makes it useful in the right setup, but never the first pick for someone who just wants bitcoin on Bitcoin.
