Bridged USDT is the generic version of Tether that shows up when a chain needs a USDT balance without native issuance on that network. By our assessment, it is good at one thing only: making the same dollar-pegged token available across chain boundaries, which is useful in DeFi and exchange-heavy workflows. The cost is extra bridge trust and less clarity than native USDT, since bridged tokens depend on the route and the wrapper behind them. Using it usually feels routine and slightly technical, because the token name looks familiar while the underlying arrangement is not. Compared with native USDT it is a step removed; compared with moving through a full fiat rail, it stays inside crypto and keeps the process faster. It is plain plumbing, and it stops being attractive when a network already offers native USDT.
