Bridged DAI

Bridged DAI is the cross-chain version of Maker’s dollar-pegged stablecoin, built for people who need DAI-style value in a network where native DAI is not present. By our assessment, it works because the name already tells users what they are getting: a familiar stable asset that can move with DeFi activity across chains. The weakness is not mysterious either — a bridged token adds another point of failure on top of the stablecoin model itself. In practice it is mostly invisible plumbing until something breaks, which is often how bridge assets feel when they are doing their job. It sits between plain DAI and the wider cross-chain stack, and it is less tidy than native issuance because it depends on transport as much as on the peg.
