BOB (Build on Bitcoin)

BOB (Build on Bitcoin) is a crypto project for people drawn to the idea of building on Bitcoin rather than treating Bitcoin as a closed monument. By our assessment, that makes its pitch easy to grasp: it borrows Bitcoin’s name recognition and tries to extend what can be done around it. The trade-off is also obvious, because any such project has to explain why it needs to exist beside the original chain and its many layer-two or sidechain rivals. In practice, that means more technical conversation than everyday usefulness, and more attention from specialists than from casual holders. Its place in the field is defined by that Bitcoin-adjacent angle, which is a real hook but also a narrow one. The ceiling is set by whether that relation to Bitcoin matters enough to outweigh the noise of a very crowded crypto market.
