AxonDAO Governance Token is a governance token, so its job is voting and coordination rather than payments or day-to-day utility, and by our assessment, that keeps it squarely in the narrow world of DAO mechanics. These tokens are useful when a project actually uses holder votes, proposals, and treasury decisions, because they give structure to collective control. The limitation is plain: governance rights are only as meaningful as the underlying organization, and a token can feel important on paper while doing very little in practice. Using one is usually less about spending and more about participating in a process, which is slower and more procedural than ordinary crypto trading. Compared with coins meant for transfer or settlement, this sits in the administration layer.
