Axelar Wrapped Ether is a wrapped version of Ether for people who need ETH exposure on another chain, and by our assessment, that is its whole point. It lets ETH move through bridge infrastructure instead of staying fixed to Ethereum, which is practical when apps or wallets live elsewhere. The cost is the familiar wrapped-token trade: one more layer of trust and one more thing that can go wrong before the asset reaches its destination. In use it feels technical and a bit indirect, because the token represents Ether rather than being the base asset in its original home. Against native ETH, it is a tool for portability, not a cleaner or simpler form of the coin.
