Arcblock is a cryptocurrency, and by our assessment it sits in the crowded field of project tokens that promise infrastructure rather than simple payments. It is aimed at people who want exposure to a blockchain platform story more than a plain spend-and-send coin. The appeal is the idea of tooling for builders and digital identity inside a single tokenized ecosystem, but that is also where the trade-off begins: the value depends on a platform narrative catching on, not on a simple everyday use. In practice, that usually means a lot of waiting for adoption and a lot of reading between the lines of the project.
