rhodopsin

Rhodopsin is the kind of Photo & Video app that sounds scientific or niche before it sounds practical, so the first question is what it actually does for imaging work. By our assessment, the name suggests a specialized visual tool rather than a broad consumer camera, and that usually means a narrow purpose with a small audience. The strength of such an app is focus: one task, one style of use, little clutter. The limit is equally clear, because specialized apps rarely fit everyday shooting or editing unless the user already wants that exact workflow. In practice, the experience tends to be spare and technical, not polished for casual browsing. Rhodopsin belongs well away from the mainstream camera apps, and that narrowness is the whole story.
