iPlay Cajon - Drum Grooves Collection turns a phone into a pocket rhythm tutor for cajón players who want patterns to follow and practise. By our assessment, it is strongest when it gives a clear groove to copy and keeps the focus on timing rather than theory overload. The trade-off is obvious: it can show beats and loops, but it cannot correct hand technique or listen back with a teacher’s ear, so progress depends on the player. In use, these apps feel like repetition made portable, with a lot of tapping, replaying and slowing down. It sits with other music-learning apps rather than full drum courses, and the Education label fits because it is more practice aid than entertainment. The plain limit is that it only gets you part of the way, on the screen in front of you.
