ab Spatial Ambisonics Recorder is a Photo & Video app for recording spatial ambisonic audio, which immediately places it in a specialist corner rather than a general creator tool. By our assessment, that narrow focus is its strength: it serves people who need a recorder aimed at immersive sound capture, not casual voice notes. The trade-off is that this kind of app asks for some technical patience, because ambisonics is not the simplest audio format to think about on the fly. In use, the value is in keeping the capture side organized instead of hiding the format behind generic buttons. Compared with ordinary audio recorders, ab Spatial Ambisonics Recorder is more specific and less friendly to beginners who only want a quick tap-and-done workflow.
