Workout Map

Workout Map helps people map runs, rides, and other outdoor exercise without making the route feel like a spreadsheet exercise. By our assessment, its practical strength is the visual route record: seeing where the workout went is often clearer than reading a plain list of splits. The downside is that route-based fitness tools depend on accurate tracking, so they can be frustrating when the path is messy or the signal is weak. In use, these apps are about starting an activity, following the route, and checking the shape of the workout afterwards. Workout Map sits with tracking apps rather than coaching apps, so it is more about recording movement than telling someone how to train. Runners and cyclists will probably get the most out of it; people who only want indoor counts or gym logs may not need the map at all.
