Wipr 2

Wipr 2 is the sort of utility people reach for when they want web clutter pared back with as little fuss as possible. By our assessment, its appeal is the blunt promise of blocking ads and other page noise without asking the user to manage a lot of moving parts. The downside of that kind of tool is also familiar: the more aggressively it filters, the more likely it is to break a site element here and there. In practice, an ad blocker lives in the background until something vanishes that someone actually wanted to see. Compared with broad browser suites, Wipr 2 sounds leaner and more single-minded, and that is usually the point. It is a quiet utility rather than a tinkering playground, and the name’s sequel marker signals a mature, no-drama piece of software.
