WISO Steuer-Scan

WISO Steuer-Scan is built for the first, boring step of German tax work: turning receipts, statements, and tax-related papers into scan files that can be sorted later. By our assessment, that is the part it can do well, because scanning and filing are simpler than wrestling with a pile of loose documents. The limit is obvious: a scan app does not replace tax software, tax advice, or the final judgment about what belongs on a return. In practice it means camera, paper, and folders, with enough friction removed to keep the paperwork from spreading across a table. Compared with a full tax program, it is only the intake step; compared with a generic scanner, it is more tax-shaped and less general. It suits people who already have a tax workflow and just want cleaner document capture.
