Tratak

Tratak asks for patience, because it is tied to a concentration exercise rather than to quick entertainment. By our assessment, the app’s real use is as a guided aid for the traditional gazing practice the name points to, so it suits people who already want a simple focus routine instead of a broad wellness package. The honest limit is obvious: this kind of app can support a habit, but it cannot supply discipline or guarantee results. In practice the experience is likely to be quiet and repetitive, with timing and stillness doing more work than flashy features. Against general lifestyle apps it is unusually narrow, which is useful if that narrowness is exactly what is wanted. The catalogue puts Tratak in Lifestyle, and that matches its meditative, minimal shape.
