Toca Hair Salon 2

Toca Hair Salon 2 turns haircut play into something children can poke at safely: washing, cutting, styling, drying, and decorating cartoon hair with the kind of loose freedom Toca Boca is known for. By our assessment, that sandbox feel is the real strength, because there is no puzzle to fail and no score screen to chase, just tools that react in obvious ways. The downside is also the design: it is light on structure, so older kids who want goals or progression may run out of reasons to stay. In practice it feels tactile and cheerful, with quick feedback and a lot of silly visual change for very little friction. Compared with more lesson-like kids’ apps, this one is more open-ended toy than curriculum. Toca Hair Salon 2 works best as free play on a screen, not as something that teaches a sequence or tests a skill.
