Sziget Festival is the app people reach for when a music festival needs to be navigated on a phone: schedules, stages, lineup changes, maps, and the practical flow of a crowded event. By our assessment, that makes its strongest value very plain — keeping the day readable when a festival would otherwise become a mess of overlapping sets. The downside is the same as with most festival apps: it is only useful inside the event’s own ecosystem, and after the last performance it has little left to do. In practice it is a working companion more than a polished standalone product. Compared with a general event app, Sziget Festival is tightly tied to one festival and that is exactly why it works.
