Symphony Pro - Music Notation is the kind of app composers and arrangers reach for when they need to write notes, rests, and parts on a mobile device. By our assessment, its strength is that it brings proper notation work to a touch screen instead of reducing everything to toy-level editing. That makes it useful for sketching ideas, editing scores, and working away from a desk. The downside is the usual one for notation software on a small screen: detailed score work asks for patience, accurate taps, and a bit of setup. In practice it feels more like a portable drafting tool than a relaxed music app. Compared with simple notation viewers, Symphony Pro is much more capable, and compared with full desktop programs it remains the lighter, less roomy option. The limit is the screen, not the idea.
