Star Stacker is aimed at a very specific kind of photographer: people shooting night skies who need to combine multiple frames into one cleaner image. By our assessment, the clear strength is stacking, because that is how it reduces noise and brings out faint detail that a single exposure would leave buried. The cost is patience and a bit of file handling, since this is not a one-tap toy and the workflow assumes several shots and some waiting. In practice it feels technical, but not in a bad way; it is closer to a darkroom step for astrophotography than to a general photo editor. Compared with broad editing apps, it sits deep in a niche, and the Astrina catalogue still groups it under Photo & Video. Star Stacker makes sense when the goal is the sky, and much less sense for ordinary daytime photos.
