SocialFocus: Hide Distractions is for people who want to strip the social-feed clutter away and stay on task inside sites or apps that normally pull attention in every direction. By our assessment, its best idea is simple and useful: hide the distracting parts instead of asking the user to quit the service entirely. That makes it feel lighter than full blocking tools, but also less forceful, because it still depends on the same social platforms being open. In practice this kind of app is about quiet friction, not drama — fewer thumbnails, fewer extras, fewer temptations to wander. The trade-off is obvious: if a person needs hard limits, a soft filter will not be enough. SocialFocus: Hide Distractions sits between a website blocker and the default social experience, which is a sensible place, just a modest one.
