Skylight App

Skylight App is the companion app for Skylight's connected frame and related family-photo sharing setup, so it mainly serves people who want to send pictures to a display at home. By our assessment, that is the part it does best: moving photos into a family-facing screen without much friction. The downside is built into the category, because the app is tied to Skylight hardware and does not stand alone as a general photo tool. In practice it is less about editing and more about curation, sending, and managing what shows up on the frame. Compared with ordinary gallery apps it is narrower, and compared with cloud photo services it is much more device-specific. The useful case is simple family sharing, where the home display is the point and the phone app is just the gate to it.
