SkyView® Lite

SkyView® Lite is the stripped-down starfinder for people who want a quick look at the sky without learning an astronomy suite. By our assessment, its strength is the simple pointing-and-identifying job: hold up the phone and match bright stars, planets, and constellations against the view above you. The trade-off is that a lite app usually keeps the extras light too, so it is not the place for deep observing tools or a heavy feature list. In practice that makes it feel immediate rather than studious, which is exactly the point. SkyView® Lite sits below fuller planetarium apps, and the ceiling is set by that simplicity.
