Silo: Focus & Study Timer does one job that students and distraction-prone workers recognise immediately: it turns attention into timed blocks. By our assessment, its appeal is the familiar focus-timer pattern, with a study-friendly wrapper around the same Pomodoro-style idea many people already use. The downside is built in, because a timer can only create structure; it cannot supply discipline or stop the phone from calling back. In practice these apps live or die on how cleanly they get out of the way while the clock runs. Compared with general productivity tools, Silo is narrower and more immediate, and the name tells you exactly what kind of routine it wants.
