Search With Google is the simplest side of Google’s search on a phone: the typed query, the autocomplete, and the familiar results page. By our assessment, it is strongest when someone already knows what they want and just needs the web’s default answer quickly, without learning a separate app or workflow. The trade-off is that it is only search, not research; it will not sort sources for you or decide what counts as good evidence. In practice it feels immediate and bare, with little to learn beyond entering words and reading the results. Compared with broader Google products, this is the thin, fast front end rather than the whole information stack.
