Screwfix

Screwfix is the app people reach for when the shopping list is really a job list: screws, drills, fittings, cables, sealants, and the rest of the trade-counter world. By our assessment, its strength is speed and specificity, because it is built for finding the exact part or tool without much ceremony. The downside is that this kind of app is not meant for dreamy browsing; if the user does not already have a project in mind, it can feel blunt and very utilitarian. In practice it reads like a working catalogue more than a polished lifestyle store. Screwfix sits in the middle of trade supply and DIY purchasing, and the straightforward, no-nonsense format is the whole point.
