Radio procedure at sea asks for precise language and familiarity with a specialized form of communication, which is the subject of Schiffsfunk. As an educational app, it is aimed at people learning marine radio rather than anyone looking for general boating information. By our assessment, that narrow focus is a useful distinction: radio terminology and procedure are easier to study when kept separate from broader navigation topics. The limit is equally clear: a learning aid cannot stand in for practical training or the responsibility involved in real radio communication. It is a study aid for radio procedure, not a substitute for an operator’s training.
