By our assessment, its strength is obvious and narrow: it removes friction from reading codes, whether that means opening a link, checking product information, or pulling up a saved code. The limit is equally plain, because this kind of app only earns its keep when there are codes to scan; it is not a general productivity tool. In practice it should feel instant, with a camera view, a scan result, and not much ceremony in between. It sits in the basic utilities class where the main rivals are the scanner apps that do the same one job, and it is useful precisely because it does not try to be anything bigger.
