Sainsbury's Groceries

Sainsbury's Groceries is the sort of app people open when the weekly shop has already become a list, not an outing. By our assessment, it works best as a supermarket companion: food ordering, repeat buying, and store-linked grocery planning all sit at the centre of it. The downside is familiar to anyone using a chain app — the experience is tied to Sainsbury’s own stock, its own fulfilment, and the limits of a single grocer. In practice that makes it practical rather than exciting, with fewer moving parts than a general shopping platform and less noise than a marketplace. It sits squarely in the grocery-app middle ground, where convenience is real but narrow. For regular Sainsbury’s customers it is a clean fit; for anyone wanting broader comparison shopping, it is not the right tool.
