Reciprocity Timer

Reciprocity Timer demands more attention than most app names suggest, because it is built around the reciprocity failure problem that film photographers deal with in long exposures. By our assessment, that makes it useful in a very specific lane: it helps calculate how much extra time a film exposure may need when the light gets low. The downside is equally specific, since digital shooters and casual phone users have no real reason to care about this at all. In practice it is a calculator, not a creative tool, and the experience is mostly about entering values and reading back a corrected time. Reciprocity Timer sits in the technical corner of photography apps, closer to a pocket reference than to an editing suite. It is for people still working with film and long exposures, and it stops mattering the moment that subject leaves the table.
