Reactable mobile

Reactable mobile turns phone and tablet screens into a modular music surface, so it belongs to people who like sound design more than plain playback. By our assessment, its strongest point is the tactile logic: you move pieces, link them, and hear the result change, which makes electronic music feel visibly assembled. The downside is that this style asks for patience, because the idea is playful only if you are willing to learn its little system of modules and signals. In practice, that makes it closer to an instrument than to a normal app, with a learning curve that rewards curiosity. Reactable mobile sits apart from ordinary sequencers and loop apps because the interface is the instrument, not just a menu around it. It suits users who enjoy experimenting with structure, and it will feel slow to anyone who wants a simple recorder or a quick beat pad.
