A random chord can give a practice session or songwriting session a starting point when the usual progressions have gone stale. Random Chord is a narrow music utility built around that prompt: it puts chord choice in front of the player instead of asking for a complete arrangement. By our assessment, that simplicity is its main value, especially for someone working on harmony or looking for a quick musical exercise. The player still has to decide how the chord should be voiced, where it belongs, and what should follow it. A random choice does not explain why the harmony works, so it is not a substitute for theory, a sequencer, or a full songwriting tool. Its useful output is a chord to respond to, not a finished piece.
