Porter Airlines is a travel app for managing a flight booking with a regional Canadian carrier, so its job is narrow and practical rather than broad. By our assessment, it is at its best when you want boarding passes, itinerary details, and airline updates in one place instead of digging through email. The downside is that it only matters if you actually fly Porter, and it will not do much beyond that airline’s own workflow. In practice, that usually means a clean, trip-focused app that stays out of the way once the reservation is set. It sits closer to an airline companion than to a full travel planner, and that is exactly its limit. The app is most sensible for regular Porter passengers; everyone else will have little use for it.
