Polyrhythm Explorer

Polyrhythm Explorer asks for a bit of rhythmic curiosity, because its whole point is to make layered beat patterns easier to study. By our assessment, that is a real strength: it gives shape to something that can otherwise stay abstract on paper or in a musician’s head. The limit is equally clear, since this is not the sort of app that will matter much to someone who only wants a straightforward metronome or a casual music player. In use it sounds like a specialist tool, not a general music app, and that is exactly the trade it makes. Polyrhythm Explorer belongs to a narrow corner of music software where timing exercises and pattern work are the draw. The result is useful if the user cares about rhythm seriously, and flat if they do not.
