PolyNome: THE Metronome

PolyNome: THE Metronome turns metronome work into something much more flexible than a plain click track. By our assessment, its real strength is rhythmic control: musicians can use it for tempo changes, accents, polyrhythms, odd meters, and practice setups that a basic metronome cannot really handle. The price of that power is complexity, because the app asks for setup time and a bit of theory before it feels natural. In use it is the kind of tool you keep open while rehearsing, testing parts, or drilling tricky passages rather than something you casually poke at. Against simpler metronomes it is far more configurable, but that also means it is less instant. PolyNome: THE Metronome makes the most sense for players who already know why they need all those subdivisions and notations.
