Politonus I (Ear Training) is a music app for ear training, the kind of thing singers, instrumentalists and students use when they need to recognize intervals, chords or melodic shapes by sound. By our assessment, its real value is the drill itself: repeated listening and answering can sharpen pitch memory in a way that flashy interfaces never do. The limit is obvious too; ear training only helps if a person keeps at it, and the app cannot do the listening for them. In practice this sort of tool feels a bit like scales for the ear, with short exercises and immediate correction rather than entertainment. Politonus I (Ear Training) sits in the training side of music apps, not in composition or playback. It is useful when somebody wants structure and repetition, and much less useful when what they want is just something to play in the background.
