Pixpay

Parents and teenagers share the financial routine in Pixpay: it pairs a payment card for young people with an app for managing allowance and keeping an eye on spending. That can make everyday purchases easier to track than cash, while giving a teenager a practical way to learn about budgeting. By our assessment, the combination of a teen-facing card and parental oversight is its clearest strength. The trade-off is that this is a supervised youth account, not the same thing as an adult bank account with full independence. Allowance and card spending are central to the way the service is used.
