PixGallery for Google Photos is a gallery-style app for people who want a different way to browse photos already stored in Google Photos. By our assessment, the main strength is presentation: it tries to make image browsing feel cleaner and less cluttered than the default view. The limitation is obvious too, because it depends on Google Photos rather than replacing it, so its reach is bounded by that ecosystem. In practice, this kind of app is about sorting through albums, thumbnails, and image lists with a lighter touch than the original app. It sits in the small territory of companion viewers and alternate galleries, not in the business of storing photos on its own. PixGallery for Google Photos is for someone who likes the Google Photos library but wants a different front end to look at it through.
