Picture Insect: Identifikation turns insect spotting into a quick lookup app for people who want a name for what crawled past the window or landed on a leaf. By our assessment, its real value is the identification idea itself: take a photo, get a likely match, and move on without needing a field guide in your pocket. The downside is plain enough: like any image-based ID tool, it depends on a decent photo and it cannot replace an expert when the insect is small, damaged, or ambiguous. In practice it is a narrow, single-purpose app rather than something to browse for fun, and that keeps it simple. It sits closer to a pocket reference than to a game, and the Education label fits better than a hobby toy. The app asks for attention to the picture rather than to menus, which is the whole point.
